Navigate: Day One and Two

What an amazing start to our food-innovation Navigate program!

We are so excited to have our five participant companies here exploring the food ecosystem. We started day one with an internal breakfast where we were able to get to know each other better!

Our Navigate Kick-Off Lunch had a full room of agri-food ecosystem members listen to our participants present on their companies. It was great to see such an amazing turn out!

Creative Food Labs - Isabella Fernández Klimek, De Novo Foodlabs- Leah Bessa and Richard Grieves, Ergo Bioscience Inc - Alejandro Barbarini, Food4You- Francisco Gil Garbagnoli, and NoPalm Ingredients - Allard Langenhuijsen.

We heard from Karen Churchill, CEO from our partner in Navigate Ag-West Bio

We ended the day with a trip to Stoked to go bowling! Francisco Gil Garbagnoli, Allard Langenhuijsen and Grayson Berting were the best bowlers, winning with more than a 60 point lead!

Day Two began with a breakfast seminar from Benjamin Kelly from Algarithm Ingredients. The companies listened intently to what Ben had to say about starting a business here and working through all the challenges of the food industry here in Canada.

Our next stop was a tour at KeyLeaf with Thushan S. Withana-Gamage. It was great about their down stream processing capabilities, just another example of the world class expertise and facilities located right here in Saskatoon!

We then went to Bioriginal and heard from CEO Shannon Sears. We heard about impressive history and bright future for bioriginal.

And our final stop was the Saskatchewan Food Industry Development Centre Inc. where we heard from Mehmet Tulbek.

We ended the day with the Navigate Happy Hour! This was time for our companies to network and meet with more of the food ecosystem!
