🔬 Strengthening innovation through collaboration and shared infrastructure!
We were excited to welcome Augusto Desuque from ERGO Biosciences to GAAP for his first visit to our facilities. As one of the companies GAAP has proudly invested in, ERGO is leveraging our shared infrastructure—including the Amber 15 bioreactor platform—to optimize their carrot cell culture conditions.
Augusto and Sameer Pokhrel, Ph.D. have been collaborating remotely for months, troubleshooting protocols and refining methods from afar. This visit marks the first time they’ve been able to work side by side in the lab—bringing their ideas to life in real time and accelerating progress on optimizing the growth of cells in liquid culture.
Sameer has recently been appointed by ERGO to lead their research efforts here in Saskatoon, taking full advantage of the infrastructure available at GAAP and their collaborators like Global Institute for Food Security. We’re thrilled to see this partnership grow and thrive.
Here’s a quick snapshot of Augusto and Sameer in the lab
